An accident report from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office covers the death of a pedestrian in a Jurupa Valley, California incident on Saturday night, May 23rd. Temecula resident, 41-year-old Robert Ibrahim, died from the injuries he sustained after getting hit by a car.
The sheriff’s office officials revealed in a press briefing that the accident occurred on the 1300-block of Rubidoux Blvd. at approximately 8:26 p.m. A witness told officers at the scene that a dark-colored sedan traveling at top speed struck Ibrahim who was in the southbound lane of the roadway.

The impact threw the pedestrian to the west side of the road, precisely on the dirt shoulder. When emergency services got to the scene, they found Ibrahim lying there with extensive wounds. The medics tried to stabilize him, but he passed away despite their effort.
The police said that the sedan driver fled the scene without offering any assistance to the man. The hit-and-run motorist remains at large, and the sheriff’s office wants the public to help them locate the person and the car.
The officials said in the briefing that the sedan likely sustained damage to its front passenger side and side-view mirror. Those who have seen the car or the driver should contact the investigators. There is no additional information at this time.
