Munoz suffered critical injuries as a result of the crash and was unconscious. Paramedics rushed her to Medical Center Hospital, where they pronounced her dead. There are no further details about the accident or any information about the driver of the Chrysler at this time.

Motorists must avoid speeding when driving on the roadway to prevent accidents. Speeding is dangerous and can lead drivers to lose control of their vehicles. When that happens, they may end up veering off the road or crashing into other cars.

Accidents caused by speeding can be fatal. Authorities state that an increase in average speed is directly related to the likelihood of a crash occurring. It also increases the severity of the consequences of the accident. For every 1% increase in mean speed, there is a 4% increase in the risk of a fatal crash. There is also a 3% increase in the risk of a severe collision.

According to an accident report, the death risk for pedestrians hit by car fronts rises rapidly by 4.5 when speed increases from 50 km/h to 65 km/h. Meanwhile, the fatality risk for car occupants in car-to-car side impacts is 85% at 65 km/h. Hence, motorists must drive safely and at a moderate speed to avoid accidents.
