A rollover crash killed one person on February 10th on Riggs Road in Phoenix, near the Gila Indian River Reservation. Only one car was involved in the accident. It is unclear whether or not the driver was wearing a seatbelt, or whether or not a seatbelt would have even helped the driver since it was a rollover crash.

There is limited information about this crash, and it is not known whether or not any other individuals were hurt in this accident or were in the vehicle at the time of impact. Rescue workers were not able to save the victim when they arrived on the scene.

The road was shut down for several hours following the accident so that police could carry out their investigations and so that the debris from the accident could be safely removed. Several hours after police arrived on the scene, the road was reopened for normal traffic.

Rollover crashes often result in serious injuries or fatalities due to the fact that the head often sustains trauma. That appears to be what caused death to the Individual in the car during this accident.

Right now, police do not know if drugs and/or alcohol was involved in causing this accident, whether the person was speeding, or whether the person was distracted while driving. All that is known is that the driver lost control of the vehicle and the car rolled over, causing a fatal injury.

If you have any information about this accident, please contact the Phoenix Police Department.
