A man was sadly struck by a driver as he was walking down an Auburn road on Thursday.
Jeffery Odell was unfortunately badly hurt when he was hit by the driver of a vehicle on Thursday in Auburn, Washington. Local law enforcement stated that at approximately 5:14 p.m. local time, Mr. Odell was struck by a 2008 four-door sedan, driven by 68-year-old Yong Ro as Odell was trying to cross an intersection at State Route-164 and Riverwalk Drive in Auburn. The motorist failed to yield to the pedestrian in the crosswalk, law enforcement personnel added.

Medics quickly got to the site of the incident and took the victim to a local hospital where he is receiving treatment for severe injuries, law enforcement said.
AUTO-PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
Based on the official report by Auburn law enforcement, the motorist did not properly yield the right of way to the pedestrian. The Auburn Police Department will investigate the details of the accident and Yong Ro could be cited or criminally charged as a result.
