The Ford Fiesta was being driven by 44-year-old Christina Carbajal of Fayette County. Carbajal and her passenger, 63-year-old Miguel Hernandez also of Fayette County were pronounced dead at the scene.

The original published story, prior to the release of the names, talked of how a 13-month-old baby was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston Hospital. The baby was in good condition after the accident.

There was no concrete information other than they were investigating the accident that involved three different vehicles and three dead as a result of the collision.

The baby was identified as the granddaughter of Carbajal. Bystanders of the accident were able to pull the baby girl from her car seat in the Fiesta after the accident, getting her to safety.

The third driver who struck the Corvette after the initial wreck is said to have only suffered minor injuries. Their name has not been released at this time.

At the present time, Williams body has been released to the Clayton County Coroner’s office. They will conduct the autopsy and report back with their findings for the accident report. It is standard procedure in accidents where the cause of the accident is unknown for an autopsy to be performed on the at-fault driver in the state of Georgia.

Until after the autopsy is completed, the police have no further details as to what may have caused the accident or why Williams lost control of the Corvette in the first place.
