The road conditions were extremely slushy. According to the police, Aimone was traveling too fast for the slippery conditions and lost control of her car. Aimone spun out of control and crossed the road’s centerline into oncoming traffic. Aimone’s vehicle hit Kelly’s vehicle head-on.

When Aimone’s vehicle hit the other car, Kelly’s vehicle spun out of control. The car that Kelly was driving left the road and landed in the ditch on the east side of the road. Aimone’s car also spun out of control. However, her vehicle only came to rest in the middle of the road, according to the police report.

The La Salle Police Department and the Utica Fire Department responded to the crash as quickly as possible. The Utica Fire Department took Kelly to the OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ottawa, Illinois.

A report on Kelly’s condition was not available. However, Kelly is believed to be in a more critical condition than Aimone.
