LAKESIDE, CA – A pick-up truck driver going the wrong way on State Route 67 was rescued after landing in a drainage canal on Wednesday night, ABC 10 reports.
The accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the area near Channel Road. The truck was driving north in the southbound lanes when the driver left the road and crashed into a drainage canal. The impact ejected the driver who became stuck in the canal.

First responders removed the man from the canal and transported him to Sharp Memorial Hospital. His current condition is unknown.
No one else was injured in this incident.
