NORTH COUNTY, CA – A man was hospitalized after being pinned underneath a truck in a North County hit-and-run Tuesday afternoon, Fox 5 San Diego reports.
The accident occurred in a commercial parking lot on South Santa Fe Avenue near AutoZone around 5 p.m. The victim was struck by a truck and pinned beneath it, becoming trapped for an hour before firefighters rescued him.

After being freed from the truck he was airlifted to the hospital. The extent of his injuries have not been reported but he was listed in stable condition.
The truck driver fled the scene. Local police are offering a reward for information leading to his arrest.
