PASADENA, CA – A man was killed on the eastbound 210 freeway in Pasadena on Sunday night, local news reports.
Around 9:05 p.m. the California Highway Patrol was alerted to a man walking on the freeway near the Lake Avenue ramp.

By 9:20 p.m. the man had been hit by a Toyota Highlander SUV in the carpool lane and thrown over the center divider.
The victim died at the scene. The SUV driver, a 18-year-old man, remained at the scene.
Police are investigating further. It is not clear why the man was walking on the freeway.
