LA MESA, CA – A 40-year-old man is dead after a vehicle crashed through the windows and into an office building in La Mesa, Fox San Diego reports.
The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on University Avenue. An eastbound vehicle veered off the ramp and into the window of a nearby office building.

Officers were in the building quickly and attempted to provide life-saving measures but the victim died at the scene.
The 61-year-old man who was driving the vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police do not known if drugs or alcohol played a role.
