CARLSBAD, CA – California Highway Patrol troopers were forced to shut down the left three northbound lanes of Interstate 5 following a collision in Carlsbad on Sunday morning.
According to Caltrans, the crash occurred just south of the Tamarack Avenue overpass around 5:00 a.m.

No details regarding the cause of the crash or whether anyone was injured were provided.
Caltrans provided an update at 11:13 a.m., stating the freeway was fully reopened.
