The Phoenix Fire Department was kept busy around 7:25 Am on January 27th,2020, when they had to respond to a collision that took place near 27th Avenue. This was a multi-vehicle accident that occurred when an SUV went through a red light and hit a white sedan. The police investigation determined that both drivers did not leave the scene, and there was no indication of impairment regarding either driver.
Nine people were injured. Two involved in the collision needed medical attention right away. These were a twelve-year-old girl and a seven-year-old girl. They were both taken to the hospital immediately, but neither of the girls had life-threatening injuries, according to Sgt. Maggie Cox. Sgt.
